Reflecting on the Past, Looking Forward to the Future

The inspiration behind this blog was to find a way to share all of the journeys that my friends and I embark on in the Northwest. In the last year climbing become one of my biggest passions. Since the first day I set foot in the climbing gym here at Central Washington University I was hooked. After a few months in the gym me and my friend Beck finally made our first trip to Leavenworth, Washington. After that I had a much greater appreciation for rock climbing. I didn't realize how much harder rock climbing was outside compared to climbing at a gym. Over the next couple of months I made many trips back and made tons of improvements. In my last couple of trips this last year I was able to send my first outdoor V3. It was a major mile stone for me. Since then winter has hit and its time to train! Currently I am climbing at the rock gym at CWU, trying to build strength and become an overall better climber.
I am always looking forward to spring. this is the first year that I have been this excited for the spring time. I am going to be making a lot of camping trips to Leavenworth in my trusty Buick! My goal this spring and into summer is to be climbing V3/4 at a consistent level and be able to project V5. This is gonna have to start in the gym though. Recently I have been trying to get into a lifting regimen that will hopefully help with climbing. Until the rocks dry up Ill be in the gym, but who knows maybe some winter adventures will happen! Cant wait to start this amazing adventure!
